Transcript: Which types of students will feel at home at UNR? Students who love the outdoors and sports such as biking and skiing will feel right at home in the mountainous region surrounding reno. Students from all ethnicities or nationalities are accepted and the Center for Cultural Diversity is there to help. Students who have lived in and around Lake Tahoe and want to pursue their degree while living near the most beautifully preserved natural body of water in the United States. Students who want to feel the pride of living the "biggest little city in the world" How large is the student body at UNR? take a guess! heres your chance to win up to a million particles of dust! The student body at UNR is around 17,000 students (close to 13,000 undergrads). Ifyou're the type of person who is looking for small class sizes, then UNR is a good choice. the average class size at UNR is around 32 students, and the student-to-faculty ratio is 27:1. There are over 145 degree programs at Nevada including biological and env. sciences, engineering, business, education, and more. There is a 20,000 square foot fitness center on-campus, many intramural sports and competitions, rental shop for outdoor equipment, and an indoor lap pool and dive tank. Intramural sports include but are not limited to: flag football, soccer, basketball, and volleyball. Academic support UNR has the largest library in the state of nevada. There are also tutoring, math and writing centers for those who need a little help sometimes. UNR requires also that students have a 3.0 academic GPA and a 22 ACT comp. score or 1100 SAT score to be considered for WUE. Tuition for Nevada residents is approximately $4,700 per year, room & board is about $8,800 and additional expenses bring the grand total to about $14,300. Tuition for WUE eligible Students is about $7000 per year, and additional costs bring it to about $16,000 per year.
